Ocean Conservancy Internship Program - Offers undergraduate and graduate students an opportunity to gain first hand experience working at a non-profit environmental organization while contributing in many ways to the protection of the marine environment and conserving its wildlife.
Interns are given the opportunity to apply their existing skills while acquiring new ones. Interns receive rewarding personal and career experiences, including learning about different aspects of the marine environment, non-profit operations, legislative, administrative, and judicial processes, and also developing life long associations with others in the environmental field.
Interns may be engaged to work for a specific period of time, and may be either full or part time. Interns are not eligible for employee benefits. Undergraduate interns are not financially compensated, but may be reimbursed for actual travel expenses (not to exceed $10.00 per day) associated with local commuting to and from Ocean Conservancy's offices. Graduate or legal interns may be paid a small salary depending on the availability of funding.
Must currently be attending an accredited college or university in good standing and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree. Candidates will be selected based on their demonstrated knowledge, academic excellence, enthusiasm, and initiative, written and verbal communication skills.
